Miss Callie finally made her entrance into this world last week.  She was long awaited for, and is already surrounded by so much love from family and friends.  Her family is very involved in the performance horse industry, so she is surely destined to be a cowgirl!  To see the rest of her session slide show, click here!

This “sweet girl” is really not a newborn…. she decided it was time to make an early entry into this world in the 30th week of mama’s pregnancy.  She actually got to come home from her long stay at the NICU on the week of her term due date.  So she’s right on track now and has been such a blessing to her parents Courtney & Aaron.  After a week of settling in at home, she was such a good baby for the shoot.  To see the rest of their session, click here!

Well, I have been busy getting back into the routine of photo shoot, process/edit, blog, repeat…..  this desk is consuming me once again.  :)  I want to share a few recent sessions all about babies…..

First, I had the privilege of shooting a fellow photographer’s new family a few weeks ago.  I met Deena at last year’s Love Affair Workshop in Atlanta.  Baby Arabella arrived in early August.  She and Mikel came to the ranch from McKinney for their quick session.  Click herefor a slide show of their images!

Another recent newborn session is of baby Hannah, the granddaughter of  family friends Lisa and Jim Scroggins.  Click here for a slide show of her session!

The next session is very close to my heart…  my cousin Cole and his beautiful wife Heidi are expecting triplets!  She has just been put on bed rest as of today, and may be hospitalized soon to keep those babies growing as long as possible.  Please lift them up in your prayers as this has been a long-awaited pregnancy and we need these little “peas” here healthy!  I went over to their home the day before her baby shower last weekend to get some pics of her and their little “peanut” Toby.  Boy does he have a rude awakening coming!  The slide show of images from that afternoon and the shower is here.  You will remember Heidi from this image….

This precious baby belongs to some very dear riends of ours, Tommy & Myndie Coan, & big sister Lakota.  Myndie kept our kids for years at her house, so she is like a second mother to them!  Congrats on the birth of Miss Kylie McKenna!  She is about 8 days old in these pics….

Well, he finally made it!  Early, of course…. this kid is going to do things his way and he wants his parents to know this from the beginning!  You will probably remember Shawn’s maternity shoot from this post.  Gage was very alert for most of his session, so we didn’t have time to get too creative with a bunch of props.  Shawn finally rocked him to sleep about 1.5 hours in to the shoot!  That is when we got this priceless image….

The blanket is Shawn’s baby blanket from when she was little, and the boots were Sammy’s as a child.  So much fun… thanks guys for letting me come over and play with Gage- looking forward to many more years!  To view the gallery of images click here!

…and soon to be Gage!  Sammy & Shawn are friends of ours that are patiently awaiting the arrival of one stubborn little boy.  He is a breech baby, and he doesn’t want it any other way, so they have scheduled a c-section in a couple of weeks.  Sammy has been helping us start our colts the last couple of years, tending to the horses’ feet, and more recently, helping us get a handle on our show heifers.  It is so nice to have good friends that you can count on that will do anything in the world for you, and you would do the same for them.  This baby has been a long time coming, and there are many family and friends who can’t wait to love on this little cowboy.  It sounds like he has already taken on a few of his daddy’s traits, which isn’t a bad thing Poor Shawn will just have to put up with two of them!  There is also a gallery up that was taken back in June when they just found out they were expecting, and it is one of my favorite shoots that I unfortunately didn’t have time to blog, so make sure to check it out, too!  I’m sure there will be newborn pics there soon so check back later!  To visit their galleries click here.
